• Actor, writer and director ELAINE MAY became the first female director with a Hollywood deal since Ida Lupino when she directed the screwball black comedy, 'A New Leaf' (1971). She crafted a gangster film like no other in the nocturnal odyssey 'Mikey and Nicky' (1976). Her wonderful and multifaceted career received her an Academy Award, BAFTA, Grammy Award, and a Tony Award.
